What began in 1992, as People Incorporated’s BusinesStart program, Virginia’s first microenterprise development program, has become People Incorporated Financial Services.

As People Incorporated Financial Services has evolved, it has fostered the creation of jobs, encouraged economic growth, and made many people’s dream of owning his or her own business become a reality. Since 1992, People Incorporated and People Incorporated Financial Services have provided financing for 425 businesses and have created or saved 1,495 jobs.

For more information about these and other innovative community and economic development services offered by People Incorporated Financial Services, please contact Deborah Wagner, Director of Community and Economic Development at 276-623-9000, or come by and visit the new offices at 1217 W.
